I met Clayton (a.k.a. "Clay") mid 2018, and quickly learned a lot about him, our common interest in flying drones, his faith, family history, and of course, the love of his life: Micaela.
During one of our conversations about life, Clay mentioned that he and Micaela were engaged and getting married in January 2019. You can tell a lot about a man and how much he adores his woman by how he speaks or doesn't speak about her. Clay often talks about Micaela and how much joy she brings to his life. It's usually "Micaela this" and "Micaela that."
And then I met her the day of the photoshoot, and understood what the fuss was all about. He was right.
We scheduled Clay and Micaela's Fall engagement photoshoot for November. The location we decided on was Heritage Park in McDonough, Georgia, less than an hour south of Downtown Atlanta. You can say Heritage Park is a time capsule filled with historic structures from the early 1800's. It's like taking a trip back in time to a small historic village. It's rustic and vintage, and made for the right location for Clayton and Micaela's engagement photoshoot.
Most people who know me, know that I really enjoy photographing couples. It gives me an opportunity to capture their connection and photograph special moments that couples can hold on to for a lifetime. I love photographing the happiness couples have. My photoshoots are never a dull moment.
And that's what I really enjoyed about Clay and Michaela's engagement session. They genuinely love being around each other. They never stopped smiling and laughing.
As I write this blog post, Clay and Micaela are 24 hours away from tying the not and celebrating their union. I saw him today and noticed that he had a fresh hair cut. At the wedding, I'm sure he will look sharp, and she will look beautiful for their ceremony. I just hope he wears the right socks though. (Inside joke between us!)
Congrats Clay and Micaela!!!!
